Annoying Injuries

Hey everyone! As usual, it has been a while since my last post, but that's ok. I'm gonna start with the bad to get it out of the way and end on good times. Two days ago I was throwing some frisbee and in a freak accident threw out my shoulder. This unfortunate turn of events led to me riding in the van yesterday from Lawrence to Manhattan, an experience every rider on our trip dreads. Some good came from it though, I got to chill with Janine, one of our fearless leaders, for a fun filled morning of passing many flattened tires and singing the first half of Dookie, Greenday's best CD. We both have beautiful singing voices of course. I also had a good chance to talk to my favorite person for an extended period of time, which helped me out of my less than desirable mood. All injuries aside, this last week has been one of the best so far. My absolute favorite ride to date was through southern Missouri running along side the Ozarks. The country side was awesome and we finally got back to some serious hills instead of battling head wind that seems to be never ending. Along the way we found one of the coolest bike shops we've been to yet. And if all that wasn't enough, I got a free haircut and our host that night had a message therapist and chiropractor on site waiting to tend to our aching backs and massive leg muscles. It was so awesome. I think that's all I've got for now; I must go tune up the old two wheeler in preparation of my triumphant return to the road. Till' next time..
